Chemical peels are more suited to treat surface damage such as wrinkles and scarring by removing unwanted top layers of skin, whereas Microneedling heals the damaged area by filling with collagen to promote healthier skin.

Side effects of a Chemical peel?
Depending on the type of peel, common side effects include redness, dryness, stinging or burning. Slight swelling is also quite common. All of these are temporary and will alleviate after the treatment. The skin will peel off for a few days until the new rejuvenated skin is revealed. Specific instructions must be followed to keep the skin moisturized during this period. Exposure to the sun must be avoided as sensitivity to sunlight will increase.
